Privacy.
What we store
- Your email address, when you sign in. Sign-in works by a link emailed to you; we store no password.
- Your answers: which question, which option you chose, whether it was correct, when, and in which mode (practice, diagnostic, drill, mock exam, review), plus the review schedule computed from them. Before you sign in, these are tied to a random identifier in a cookie and to nothing else; when you sign in, they move to your account.
- Purchase status: whether the email on your account holds a licence, checked against our billing records. Payment itself is handled by Polar Software Inc. as merchant of record; we never see your card number. Polar's privacy policy applies to the payment.
- Anonymous usage events (a page was viewed, a diagnostic was started or finished, a checkout was started), sent to our own server with a daily anonymous visitor hash. No advertising or third-party analytics scripts run on this site.
- Support messages you send through the form, with the email you give, so a person can reply.
Cookies
Two first-party cookies: a session cookie once you sign in, and a guest identifier that keeps your free diagnostic and practice answers together until you do. Both are HttpOnly and never used for advertising. Cloudflare Turnstile, used on the sign-in form to stop automated sign-ups, sets its own cookie on challenges.cloudflare.com.
Where it lives
On Cloudflare's network (United States region for the database) and on our own backbone server, also on Cloudflare. Sign-in and receipt emails are sent through Resend from stack@norwellsystems.com.
Your choices
Export every answer as CSV from your progress page. To delete your account and everything in it, write to us through the support form from the account's email; it is gone within 14 days, except the billing records Polar must keep for tax.
Children
The FAA requires remote pilot applicants to be at least 16. This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
